Our Aims for 2021/22

Making pathways into law more accessible for our members,

Broaden our member's ideas on perspective career routes to becoming a solicitor (SQE v LPC) and whether a legal career is a correct route for them,

Making non-law students aware of their opportunities to transfer in law (GDL),

Building members commercial awareness, interviews and networking skills and
-
Focusing on students wellbeing and mental health by working with the University and external agencies.

This will be our first event following Freshers Fair. You do not need to be a member of the society yet just come along to meet the committee and learn about the direction of the society this year!
Courtney/President

Courtney is the president of the Brighton Law Society. Courtney's role includes:

Leading the direction of the society,

Ensuring all society members have correctly purchased their membership,

Organising the completion of society accreditation levels and

Being the main point of contact for the law society.
Shyann/VP Social
Bio// She/Her
Shyann is the VP Social of the Law Society. Before coming to Brighton, Shyann's role consists of:

Managing the social media and email accounts,

Ensuring all events are updated on our pages and

Communicating with members about events, partnerships and merch!
Hannah/VP Finance
Bio// She/They
Hannah is the VP Finance for Brighton's Law Society. Hannahs role involves:

Creating a budget for the society,

Generating income to use when planning events,
-
Seeking sponsorships and partnerships which benefit our members and
-
Organising large events for the society (such as the Law Ball!).
